Dr. May’s research focuses on the design and integration of computational and experimental platforms to develop multi-scale, predictive models of host-pathogen interactions and biological systems. The May lab uses systems biology and engineering methods to understand and ultimately direct microbial and cellular systems of consequence in chronic infection and disease, biodefense, and biomanufacturing.
